For the last 30 years the Bristol Balloon Fiesta has attracked both local and international balloonists to Ashton Court for the UK largets annual balloon festival.

The first balloon fiesta held in 1979 was attended by just 29 balloons and a few thousand spectators.

In recent years the fiesta has regularly drawn crowds of up to half a million people from across the country, combining the spectacle of mass hot-air balloon ascents with a daily programme of entertainment and children’s activities.

The above balloon flew regularly at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta but is now ballooning in Germany.
